Welcome to Guides' Own! A podcast from Guiders about Girl Guides.
In our inaugural episode, we talk about our guiding history and Thinking Day, and introduce our episode segments She Was a Girl Guide, You Know and Campfire Songs.
We both speak about how we got started in Girl Guides, where we have gone with it, and what it means to us now.
Additionally, we cover a brief history of Girl Guides, including its origins in 1909 with Lord Baden-Powell and a group of spirited girls who wanted to join the boy scouts. We also talk about World Thinking Day, the WTD Fund, and some of the WTD themes from the past 15 years.

In She Was a Girl Guide, You Know? we focus on Queen Elizabeth and how she was involved in Girl Guides, carrying the tradition forward with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren!
Lastly, we introduce our closing segment Campfire Songs and this week's feature is the World Song.
